About this Event
Grassroots, community-led action sits at the heart of social innovation and in many cities around the world, community action is part of the cultural fabric of the place. During 2020, the global pandemic has shone a light on this kind of local action and given energy to communities to tackle problems themselves. But these actions are often disconnected from each other and the wider systems in a city.
At a time when we are hearing, seeing and feeling the impact of community-driven innovation, and it is indeed being encouraged and relied upon, how can we better support it? What kind of systems and structures can we put in place to increase impact without losing it’s inherent value to our cities? How can we take a cross-sector, bridging local community, governments and the private sector?
In this session, we bring together examples from Greece and Malaysia to share their experiences.
